Well I did do, I did engage in some career building activities in that I presented papers when I could at postgraduate conferences, the British Society for Philosophy of Science, I think I did one year for that, might have done two actually for that one. I did present at seminars in the department. We engaged in, as I say, this discussion group that was set up for peer discussion of research. And those kinds of activities. I did teaching, undergraduate teaching within the departments.
How did you get the teaching?
The most of that was, it was kind of anticipated that if you wanted to go on to do things then the department encouraged people to do that and so when the opportunities arose to do the teaching, it wasn't difficult to say yes indeed I'd like to do some teaching.
